The University Union is a commercial university owned operation comprising of 29 business units in 19 locations around campus. It is part of the University’s Campus and Collegiate Life Services. The business units are divided into three major areas of operation - College Catering, Retail and Food & Beverage.

The role/Te mahi

In this role you will provide a high-quality food and beverage service, around the University Campus, in a timely and professional manner that exceeds expectations of the clients.

Key tasks include:
• Assisting the Store Person in his duties especially in the storage and relocation of goods at the loading dock.
• Ensuring that correct procedures are followed for service in quality control, temperature control, food and beverage safe storage and the correct control of food and beverage usage and wastage.
• Ensuring that all Catering Service practices carried out meet Health and Safety requirements.
• Ensuring that all Catering equipment (including vehicles) are used in a safe and proper manner.
• Be aware and adhere to all University Union policies and procedures.

This is a permanent, semester time only, part-time (20 hours per week), position located in Dunedin.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 11am each day.

The appointments salary range for this role is $55,538 to $59,904. Top of Range $64,270, per annum.

Applicants must have a full drivers license with the ability to drive a manual van.

Medium lifting required; therefore, applicants will need to be physically fit and strong.
