What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide chairside dental assistance and office support services in an institutional dental clinic
- Chart, maintain records, process radiographs, prepare molds and models, and clean and sterilize equipment
- Manage patient appointments, records, and inventory
- Deliver patient care instructions and stay updated on dental assisting practices and materials
- Assist in expanded functions such as restorative, endodontic, prosthetic, and oral surgical procedures

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ability to perform dental assistant procedures, including chairside assistance
- Experience in filing and using a personal computer for communication, report preparation, and inventory control
- Knowledge of infection control practices, sterilization techniques, and dental laboratory procedures
- Must maintain CPR certification by the American Heart Association and training in AED use
- Familiarity with dental nomenclature, instruments, materials, and ethical standards of dental practice

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with expanded functions in dental assisting
- Prior work in a correctional or similar environment
- Additional certifications related to dental assisting or public health
- Familiarity with inventory management systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
