      Job summary

      Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust have superb opportunities for multiple individuals to support their Dental Nurse team in a variety of sites including clinics, hospitals and in the domiciliary setting. The role allows you to be working in a specialist team to care for a wide range of both children and adult patients amongst other disabilities. The opportunities available are for a minimum of 3 months with a potential to extend.

      Supporting clinicians, throughout a wide range of different types of clinical treatments.

      Supporting all patients as they undergo dental treatment responding to individual patients needs, understanding how they may be affected by dental experiences.

      Job Title: Dental Nurse

      Trust: Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust

      Location: Multiple Locations across Berkshire

      Pay Rates: £14.82 per hour

      Shift Patterns: Monday-Friday 8:30-17:00 with potential flexibility

      You will ideally have experience working as part of a dental team, and be happy to work within any location below:

      Langley Health Centre

      Skimped Hill Health Centre

      St Marks Hospital Maidenhead

      Tilehurst Clinic

      Upton Hospital

      West Berkshire Community Hospital

      Whitley Health and Social Services Centre

      You must be able to demonstrate experience of managing a dental clinic; ability to deal with emotional and distressing situations and be able to organise often a high workload. High levels of both written and oral communication are essential to this post in order to support patients and other clinicians effectively. The post holder must be able to communicate accurate and sensitive information to patients, as well as within their own team & colleagues.

      Role Details:

      Supporting clinicians, throughout a wide range of different types of clinical treatments.

      Supporting all patients as they undergo dental treatment responding to individual patients needs, understanding how they may be affected by dental experiences.

      Setting up and and preparing the dental surgery and ensure cleaned post surgery.

      Ensuring that the correct clean instruments and equipment, x-rays, record card and electronic records are available to the clinician prior to treatment.

      Supporting with stock management of stationary, medications, utilities etc.

      Maintaining and updating records within an efficient filing system, where required, and maintain data protection.

      Booking patients appointments and advise patient needs using dental knowledge.

      What youll need:

      Registration with the General Dental Council

      NVQ Level 3 in Oral Healthcare

      Experience working with the elderly, children and patients with special needs

      Excellent organisational skills

      Computer skills including any experience with dental software

      UK driving license and use of a car
