- Lead and manage a remote Strategic Partnerships team consisting of four Strategic Partnerships Officers (SPOs) and one Senior Associate, Corporate Activations, with room for expansion as the organization grows.
- Cultivate, manage, support, and track relationships with an assigned portfolio of approximately 20+ corporate partners and prospects within CRM.
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for the SP team to align efforts with TR’s organizational goals, driving operational efficiency and successful partnerships.
- Collaborate with the Vice President, Development to craft and implement the national strategic partnerships plan, ensuring the team’s activities support TR’s mission and growth.
- Collaborate with the Deputy Director, Institutional Giving to develop strategy for the Strategic Partnerships (SP) and Institutional Giving (IG) teams, and ensure the strategy is executed YoY.
- Manage team performance by developing processes, setting clear goals, and providing mentorship and guidance to direct reports, ensuring accountability and alignment with organizational objectives .
- Support team development by identifying areas for growth and providing opportunities for skill development and professional advancement.
- Ensure effective execution of internal processes for tracking and reporting partnership metrics and team performance, partnering with Development Operations to maintain oversight of key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Negotiate, craft, interpret and enforce contracts with prospective and current strategic partners and TR’s Legal team.
- Identify , prepare and host one-on-one donor visits to cultivate donors & prospects and identify opportunities for partnership to organizational success.
- Develop accountability measures and a project management workflow in coordination with the Vice President, Development and Project Manager, Advancement to uphold corporate partner contractual obligations, both internal & external.
- Collaborate across internal teams, including Advancement (consists of Development & BrandComms), Operations, Tech, Workforce Development, Volunteer Management, etc. to ensure that strategic initiatives are aligned and effectively executed.
- Support relationship management, including overseeing stewardship for existing partners, ensuring they are being engaged in accordance with agreed-upon goals and metrics.
- Provide strategic oversight on proposals, event sponsorships, and other revenue-generating initiatives, while focusing more on maintaining and expanding existing relationships rather than identifying new prospects.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 8-10 years of management experience within fundraising, strategic partnerships, or corporate relations, with at least 4 years in a manager/leadership role
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage teams, including providing guidance, feedback, and professional development
- Effective communicator that has played a role in increasing the visibility of an organization at forums, conferences, and with senior-level corporate decision makers
- Experience working with and managing relationships with high-net-worth individuals
- Strong background in strategy development and process management
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals
- Familiarity with donor database systems (i.e., Mission CRM, Salesforce) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel for data analysis
- This is a full-time ; REMOTE position based anywhere within the United States and provides a flexible & non-traditional work schedule (relocation expenses not provided)
- Evening and weekend schedule supporting leadership meetings, video conferences, events, and operations
- Other Travel: Up to 30 % non-local travel required to support donor meetings, team meetings, site visits, annual events, and strategic partnership reviews

Team Rubicon (TR) is seeking a Deputy Director, Strategic Partnerships to join TR's Development x Strategic Partnerships team! The Deputy Director, Strategic Partnerships will provide high-level internal management and strategic oversight for the national Strategic Partnerships program, ensuring that the organization’s revenue, programmatic, and management goals are met. This position will focus on leading and mentoring a team of five direct reports, leading the Strategic Partnerships (SP) team, while providing strategic guidance to the team in order to foster collaboration and support organizational growth. The Deputy Director, Strategic Partnerships will manage a donor portfolio, oversee key internal processes, drive strategy development, and ensure the successful execution of TR’s partnerships program while strengthening the operational framework. This position requires strong management experience, strategic thinking, and the ability to build cross-functional relationships within the organization, as well as strategic relationships with external partners & prospects. The Deputy Director, Strategic Partnerships will also be responsible for developing strategy and cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors to support future transformational growth for the organization. The Deputy Director, Strategic Partnerships will collaborate with senior leadership and key internal and external teams to align efforts with TR’s overall mission and priorities, while ensuring the successful execution of strategic initiatives and the growth of TR’s donor base.
