      Job Title : Developer Level 3
      Client: Ministry of Employment and Labour Market Services Division (ELMSD)
      Work Mode: Remote
      Start Date: April 1, 2025
      End Date: March 31, 2026
      Project Duration: 1 year (with an option for 2 one-year extensions)
      Hours per week: 160 hours per month
      Extension: Yes, up to 2 additional years at the Ministry's discretion

      Job Overview :
      The Developer Level 3 will be responsible for providing development support to ELMSD's technology projects, particularly in the modernization of WorkBC's systems. The consultant will collaborate with ELMSD personnel and other ministry partners to enhance, integrate, and optimize systems, contributing to improving WorkBC's service delivery. The role will involve both front-end and back-end development, with a focus on OpenShift, mobile app development (React), and implementing DevOps pipelines. The consultant will also assist in the automation of development processes and manage technical solutions.

      Mandatory Skills & Experience :
      • An undergraduate degree in computer science.
      • Recent developer experience using agile methodologies with Atlassian JIRA (within the last 6 months).
      • At least 4 years of experience in a developer role.
      • Proficiency in programming, testing, and supporting system development and maintenance.
      • Experience in writing and maintaining technical documentation and code samples.
      Preferred Skills & Experience :
      • Experience developing and maintaining solutions in an OpenShift development platform.
      • Mobile App development and support (React, MongoDB).
      • Experience in the British Columbia public sector, with an understanding of the security and privacy policies of the Office of the Chief Information Officer.
      Additional Information :
      • The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams using agile practices.
      • No travel required; the position is remote.
