      Job Description Summary:

      Responsible for providing professional Nursing care in the analysis of data for patients with implantable cardiac devices including pacemakers, defibrillators and loop devices, following established standards and practices. The RN must be able to demonstrate the professional nursing skills to evaluate patients with arrhythmias and the technical skills to evaluate patients with cardiac rhythm management devices as well as the ability to program settings and troubleshoot in collaboration with electrophysiology specialists. This position requires highly specialized knowledge of various manufacturers and models of these devices and their functions along with the ability to acquire, maintain and integrate new technologies as they evolve. Promotes quality patient care by adhering to HRS and NASPE standards of care. Triages phone calls and completes programming orders according to established protocols. Performs interrogation, evaluation, and reprogramming of all manufacturers models of cardiac rhythm management devices. Reviews remote, trans-telephonic, and in-office evaluations and completes documentation according to protocols. Provides patient and family education with appropriate documentation in EMR and Paceart. Adheres to billing guidelines and practices and promotes positive staff and inter-office relations. Acquires, maintains, and integrates knowledge of scientific principles and derived technology-based interventions and therapies in cardiac pacing, defibrillation, and electrophysiology to provide and facilitate the provision of safe, optimal patient care.

      Performs interrogation, evaluation and reprogramming of all manufacturers’ models of cardiac rhythm management devices.
      Reviews remote, trans-telephonic and in-office evaluations and completes documentation according to protocols
      Promote patient follow up compliance by providing education specific to each device and the recommended follow up protocols.
      Provides patient and family education with appropriate documentation in EMR and/or Paceart.
      Adheres to billing guidelines and practices
      Promotes positive staff and interoffice relations

      Schedules follow-up appointments
      Fills out billing sheets
      Enters data into Paceart for tracking
      Sends correspondence to referring physician and patients

      Minimum Qualifications:

      RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of Nursing

      Additional Job Description:

      Must have prior Experience in cardiology, preferably electrophysiology, and knowledge of implantable cardiac devices is desirable. At least 5 years cardiology Experience , preferably electrophysiology
