      Acme Equipment in Fargo, ND is looking to hire a full-time Diesel Mechanic. Are you a problem-solver who hasn't met a tractor engine you couldn't fix?       This Diesel Mechanic position earns a competitive starting wage of $32/hour.       A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DIESEL MECHANIC

      As a Diesel Mechanic, your daily routine revolves around troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and gas and diesel engines, ensuring their proper functionality. You prioritize keeping workstations clean and organized, both indoors and outdoors. While performing service calls, you also maintain clean and working service trucks. Effective communication with customers, the Service Supervisor, and the parts department is crucial to ensure customers are updated on the status and location of repairs needed and parts are ordered and received in a timely manner. Diesel Mechanics prioritize safety standards while completing assigned tasks efficiently. Additionally, you maintain accurate records, including parts ordered and equipment repair hours. Diesel Mechanics commonly work on Kubota tractors, mowers, and skid steers.


      QUALIFICATIONS

      • A valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
      • Previous experience working with DC voltage controls, hydraulics, and gas and diesel engines
      • The willingness to work outdoors in all seasons and cross-train in other repair areas

      PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

      • Lift up to 75 lbs.
      • Sit, stand, and walk for the majority of your shift
      • Frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
