      Job summary

      An exciting opportunity is available for an enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated public health Specialist Dietitian

      Everyone Health is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our Tier 3 weight management team to provide a Tier 3 weight management obesity service for patients in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

      The key functions of the role are

      The successful candidate will join our Tier 3 team Nutritionist, Nurse prescriber, Health Psychologist and Physical Activity Specialist and be responsible for the nutrition and dietetic management of Tier 3 patients with complex obesity and associated comorbidities. You will be responsible for managing a caseload and delivery of virtual group sessions to patients. You will carry out one-to-one initial assessment and follow up sessions. You will also be supporting patients on low calorie diets and those using weight loss pharmacotherapy.

      The successful candidate will

      • Have excellent communication skills written, verbal and non-verbal, and listening skills.
      • Sound knowledge of delivering weight management interventions and advising on weight loss to special populations
      • Emotionally sensitive and empathetic to members of the public accessing our service.
      • Able to drive and have access to a car with business insurance to travel to clinics.
      • Have the right to work in the UK

      Accountable to Service Manager Adult Weight Manager, Tier 3.

      To be responsible for the provision of the dietetic input into multidisciplinary patient clinics and groups.

      To provide expert dietetic input and advice to support patients to lose weight

      To communicate, liaise with and refer to other services related to patient management

      To be responsible for ensuring that all necessary data is collected and inputted to ensure that we can collect the comprehensive clinical outcome data required to allow for robust evaluation of this service.

      To ensure that patients and carers have consented prior to dietetic intervention in line with professional guidelines

      To provide specialist Dietetic advice and resources to support the pharmacological pathway.

      To support the multi-disciplinary team in clinical decision making.

      To provide line management and professional development support for the team Nutritionist and Physical Activity Specialist.

      To devise, monitor and review nutritional care plans against outcome measures and adjust care plans to enable patients to achieve their goals.

      To ensure the safe and timely discharge of patients and referral or signposting to other services including Tier 4 services to support their weight loss maintenance

      To maintain continuing professional development and continuously meet the requirements of HCPC registration.

      To participate in the development, implementation and update of operational and professional standards and policies

      To contribute to operational and strategic planning for the service

      To initiate and participate in research and audit within your area of specialism

      To ensure that all records of patient contacts follow Everyone Healths standards and protocols and to use SystmOne and other relevant systems to ensure rigorous data collection processes.
