OVERVIEW
General Mills is seeking a Digital Asset Management Librarian (DAM) to manage, streamline and optimize digital content created for/by General Mills. This role will enable brand consistency and messaging through asset updates and reinforcement of brand guidelines to provide a single source of truth for digital content within the business and a more consistent user experience to all audiences.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Communicate and promote content standards regularly, provide training and answer questions from the end user community about the availability of assets.
• Review, tag and ingest content across the organization
• Manage digital content in the Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform (includes but is not limited to uploading, taxonomy management, metadata tagging, asset aggregation functionality, search/indexing, uploading, mass ingestion, etc.)
• Serve as Brand Experience point of contact for internal teams and external partners to ensure assets are tagged, ingested and archived as effectively and efficiently as possible.
• Monitor and audit assets to adhere to established governance standards; ensure process standards are being followed and meet requirements
• Field upload, tagging and research inquiries that come through inbox and solve issues or delegate tasks and review tagging
• Complete migration projects, divestitures, and other special projects as needed.
• Partner with DAM Senior Librarian and DAM Product Owner to drive adoption across marketing and train users on digital asset management processes and best practices
• Provide reports on content usage and user interactions with the DAM platform as requested
• Troubleshoot content or platform related issues which prevent users from getting what they need
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Information Science or combination of relevant education, experience, and training
• 1-3 years of digital asset management experience with an enterprise-level DAM, taxonomy management and metadata tagging
• Knowledge of wide-ranging file formats and specifications including still, video, social, 3D, web content, etc.
• Solid knowledge of web publishing, content management systems and Digital Rights Management (DRM) best practices/standards
• Solid ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Analytics or similar, JIRA or other project management tools and basic understanding of SEO
• Well organized individual with ability to give attention to detail in a highly creative, fast-paced environment and ability to work independently and manage own workload
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to effectively collaborate in a global, cross-functional team environmentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Background in food content/food related taxonomies
• Experience/knowledge of AI tagging concepts/toolsSalary Range
The salary range for this position is $62300.00 - $93600.00 / Annually.
