      Digital Design Lead

      Salary:

      London: circa £120,000

      National: circa £90,000

      Aviva's User-Centred Design (UCD) team within Customer & Marketing is looking for a new Digital Design Manager to partner with the Insurance, Wealth, Retirement (IWR) business.

      This is a great job for an experienced Design Leader to join Aviva’s UCD team, who has experience of leading a design team within a large organisation. Someone with a practitioner background who has moved on to design leadership, working with designers as well as complex stakeholder sets to deliver brilliant digital design.

      A bit about the job:

      In this role, you would be partnering between all UCD functions (product design, research, accessibility, optimisation testing & content design), the IWR Digital Product team and wider IWR business to ensure we're delivering fantastic customer, business & design outcomes, whilst managing a team of Product Designers working across a range of projects to ensure brilliant design, customer focus, consistency and strategic alignment e.g. running design crits, show & tells.

      You would also be utilising strong practitioner skills to support & coach your team, e.g. Figma, double diamond methodologies, accessibility, analytics, and ensuring your team of product designers are fully funded and utilised appropriately to maximise business and customer outcomes.

      Skills and experience we’re looking for:

      • Having a fantastic knowledge of UCD practices and helping teams deliver leading digital experiences.
      • Managing & coaching product designers.
      • Building relationships within and external to the team.
      • Having a great attention to detail and able to efficiently manage a team within a large complex organisation.

      • Starting salary circa £120,000 (London) / circa £90,000 (National) (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
