- Coordinate, support and develop the WU global marketing organization regarding selected disciplines within digital marketing / marketing automation.
- Support the execution of prioritized digital marketing projects and activities.
- Ensure that digital marketing gets involved from the early stages of any marketing project thereby ensuring proactivity.
- Ensure that channel marketing is at the forefront of digital marketing by continuously developing digital marketing activities.
- Ensure cooperation with external digital partners.
- Keep track of the latest trends, both present and future, within the digital marketing and marketing automation fields.
- Manage digital marketing to support the company’s business objectives (e.g., growth, brand positioning, operational efficiency).
- Use analytics and insights (e.g., site traffic, visitor paths, conversion rates, visitor feedback) to optimize digital experiences and marketing spend.
- Test the performance of landing pages, special promotions, content, and product placement.
- Collaborate with WU Strategic Marketing Communications, regional marketeers, and group communications to align digital strategies with broader campaign initiatives.
- Use measurement methodology and analyze results in terms of success criteria by objective (attraction, engagement, qualification, acceleration, and purchase).
- Set digital activity goals in collaboration with the campaign and/or program leader and measure results.
- Oversee media spend and search against performance metrics to optimize results.
- Drive digital execution across WU and Group Digital ECO-system.
- Implement best in class vertical campaigns – Global & local.
- Optimize digital customer journey experience (UX, Technical set-up, SEO).
- Build & optimize lead generation for each vertical.
- Drive best practice of tracking to ensure digital reporting for WU organization.
- Owner of specific solution in the Digital ECO-system.
- Align with multiple stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Service, etc.
- Drive key digital development projects (lead Scoring, ABM, KPI Dashboard, etc.).
- Enable omnichannel execution & tracking.
- Development of WU Paid Media strategy incl. target setting.
- Overview of paid media allocation across verticals & regions.
- Ensure clear communication between agencies & IND marketing teams.
- Ensure performance tracking in WU KPI Dashboard.
- WU owner of Media planning dashboard & Media performance dashboard.
- Owner of WU SoMe including social sharing for WU.
- Owner of e-mail activities across all regions for WU.
- Owner of SEM strategy for WU.
- Drive best practice and reporting including digital ROI.
- Deliver Year End Marketing report.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends, learnings, and patterns in complex data sets.
- Develop and implement IND universe database across key Digital Solutions & data sources.
- Deliver business intelligence in terms of predicting customer behavior and experience as well as general end customer understanding such top customer touchpoints and customer life cycle.
- Deliver Key Insights into Business & Marketing performance using data from Digital, Marketing & Sales.
- Establish and enforce best practices, guidelines and governance processes for digital marketing automation and lead generation activities.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards, safeguarding customers information and upholding ethical marketing practices.
- Regularly audit and assess the effectiveness of lead generation and automation processes, recommending improvements and adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and IT teams to ensure all digital marketing activities align with company policies and standards.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant work experience.
- Experience managing defined processes within Digital Marketing and Marketing Automation.
- Possess industry experience within a business environment; experience working in a large manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
- Most likely to have 5-6 years of relevant work experience before entering level besides formal education.
- Solid knowledge of the plans, processes and activities within Digital Marketing and marketing automation.
- Strong ability to influence others.
- Possess a great understanding of the relevant systems, local laws and regulations where applicable, for the Digital Marketing area, particularly data privacy regulations.
- Deep expertise in one or more areas of digital marketing (e.g., email, websites, advertising)
- Experience optimizing websites for branding and demand objectives.
- Experience managing agency relationships.
- Development of integrated marketing programs that combined inbound and outbound tactics.
- Previous experience with A/B and multivariate testing
- A willingness to travel up to 25% if necessary. As a result, candidates should be able to maintain valid identification.

What is the job about?
The Digital Marketing Automation Manager will coordinate the prioritized digital marketing activities and initiatives supporting the overall ambition of Solutions & Marketing at global Water Utility level, with the aim to enable Water Utility to deliver a best-in-class Omnichannel customer experience for our end users that drive sales, by utilizing data & digital initiatives to deliver the right customer experience at the right time. The ideal candidate will be responsible for owning and optimizing our digital marketing automation and lead generation processes, while ensuring strict adherence to governance guidelines. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving our digital marketing efforts and generating high-quality leads to fuel our business growth. This position reports to the Global Strategic Marketing Communications Director-WU and will operate remotely.
Your main responsibilities:
Plan, execute and optimize inbound and outbound digital marketing, which may include websites, mobile app, email, search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), digital advertising, social media marketing, affiliates, and emerging digital channels.
