Excellent written and verbal communication skills for producing engaging and accurate content.
Proficient in office software suites (Microsoft, Google) and related software.
Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite), video editing tools, social media management platforms, and content management systems.
Organized with attention to detail.
Photography skills and the ability to attend and photograph District events as assigned.
Ability to offer sound media relations advice to senior leadership.
Excellent managerial and organizational abilities.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Maintain strict confidentiality of information. More than fifty percent (50%) of the information handled by this position is FERPA confidential.
Regular and predictable physical attendance in the workplace
Availability to occasionally work evenings and weekends and have a flexible schedule.
Complies with all District Customer Service policies and procedures.
All other duties assigned.

The role aims to bolster the district’s online presence, enhance communication efforts, engage stakeholders, and foster community relationships. The Digital Media/Communications Specialist reports to the Coordinator of Communications.

Salary: Twelve months (234 days) per contract year and appropriate placement on the District Exempt Salary Schedule. The work calendar is subject to change based on any Board approved revisions that may or may not be Permanent.
