JOB DESCRIPTION RESPONSIBLE TO: Programme and Training Coordinator RESPONSIBLE FOR: - The provision of a range of professional learning opportunities in digital creativity to teachers and school leaders. - The coordination and monitoring of programmes and projects provided by AmmA - Assisting in the development of digital creativity programmes and resources to support teachers and pupils. - working in partnership with other teams in EA to support school improvement through professional learning - Assisting in addressing key performance metrics as agreed with NI Screen and the ongoing evaluation of impact of programmes on the learning of children and young people - Supervision of the Media Technician JOB PURPOSE: Provide, under the direction of programme and training coordinator, a range of professional learning opportunities in digital creativity to teachers and school leaders. The officer will contribute to the development of digital creativity programmes and resources to support the work of AmmA as directed by the Programme and Training coordinator. Additionally, he/she will work in partnership with other officers beyond the team where appropriate to facilitate the wider school improvement agenda. The officer will contribute to the NI Screen key performance metrics for AmmA and the Creative Learning Centres and the ongoing evaluation of the impact of programmes and support on the learning of children and young people. MAIN DUTIES - Assist with the design, development and implementation of professional learning programmes focused on digital creativity. - Plan and provide effective professional learning programmes to staff in schools within guidelines provided by the programme and training coordinator, taking responsibility, when necessary, for whole school programmes of development. - Assist with the ongoing development of skills and understanding in applications and processes associated with creativity in the curriculum. - Assist teachers to develop their skills and understanding in the creative use of digital technology. - Provide appropriate technical advice and support where necessary to teachers and colleagues; - Assist with administration within the team as required by line management; - Plan and facilitate professional learning opportunities for EA colleagues as appropriate. - Provide progress reports and updates to Senior Management as required; - Assist with ongoing research, development and enhancements of digital technology in schools by contributing to pilot testing and quality-assurance of applications and participation in cross-project meetings. - Assist in developing resources to support professional learning programmes provided by AmmA. - Coordinate and monitor programmes provided by AmmA. - Assist in the development of appropriate mechanisms to quality assure programmes. - Assist in the development of appropriate mechanisms to monitor the impact of professional learning programmes provided by AmmA. - Provide supervision and direction as appropriate to free-lance staff as appropriate involved in AmmA programmes. - Highlight and share good practice within the team. - Provide support to new staff or free-lance staff as required. - Undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade and scope of the position as directed by line management.
