      Department Overview:

      Parent and former teacher seeking energetic, reliable, young people who have an interest in furthering their career path by providing care and activities to enhance the life of her daughter. Lakeview Supportive Living is the employer providing the pay. Parent will do all the training. Prior care experience is not required, although valued. Former college students have found this to be a remarkable opportunity.

      Anticipated Hours Per Week

      Caregiver 6 hr Rec worker 3 hr alternate Sat/Sun

      Schedule:

      Caregiver 6 hour shift 9:00 a.m.to 3:00 p.m. every other weekend

      Recreation Assistant shift 12:00 p.m.to 3:00 p.m. every other weekend

      More hours are available upon request

      Salary/Wage Range:

      Hourly $18.75 to $18.75

      Position Summary/Job Duties:

      Both positions offer valuable experience, broaden your resume, gain patient contact hours and earn $18.75 hr. A car is necessary for both positions.

      Caregiver shift is 6 hours (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.)Saturday or Sunday every other weekend. The costs and travel reimbursement are covered when taking her outside the home after personal cares are completed for the suggested actiivities below with the help of a recreation assistant.

      Recreation Assistant shift is 3 hours every other Saturday or Sunday (12 p.m. to 3 p.m.) Costs and travel reimbursement are covered when assisting a caregiver for fun activities outside the home, i.e. swimming, biking, bowling, community events, etc.

      Qualifications:

      Prior experience is not needed, although valued. Parent will train for both positions. A car is necessary for these positions. At least a year commitment would be appreciated.

      Physical Demands

      High energy and motivation to provide care and activities with a partner. Client wt. is 125lbs., uses a wheelchair, but does standing transfers.
