      Job Summary:

      The Director of Ad Operations will be responsible for leading and managing a team to deliver high-quality digital advertising campaigns. This includes overseeing the execution of campaigns, managing ad trafficking workload, developing and implementing streamlined processes, monitoring campaign performance, maximizing ad inventory, and optimizing campaigns to meet KPIs and maximize ROI. In addition, the successful candidate will collaborate with sales, marketing, and analytics teams, work with product and engineering teams to improve product offering and improve user experience, stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in digital advertising, troubleshoot ad-related issues, manage budgets and expenses related to ad operations, and mentor junior team members. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years of Ad Ops experience, hands-on experience with Google Ad Manager, exceptional reporting and analytical skills, and strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

      Job Duties:

      • Oversee the execution of digital advertising campaigns, including creative trafficking, targeting, troubleshooting, pacing, and reporting.
      • Manage and prioritize ad trafficking workload, ensuring that campaigns are set up correctly and delivered on time.
      • Develop and implement processes to streamline ad operations workflows, increase efficiency, and reduce errors.
      • Monitor campaign delivery and performance, providing timely updates and recommendations to internal teams and clients.
      • Develop and maintain ad operations processes, procedures, and documentation.
      • Maximize ad inventory, track sell-through rates, monitor KPIs and communicate availability and performance expectations with key stakeholders
      • Partner with Yield to monitor and maximize inventory usage, particularly during times of high direct sell-through.
      • Optimize campaigns to ensure delivery against KPIs and maximize ROI for clients.
      • Manage relationships with vendors, including, DSPs and other technology partners.
      • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and analytics teams to develop advertising strategies and solutions that meet client objectives.
      • Partner with product and engineering teams to improve product offering and improve UX
      • Lead month end actualization process and submit monthly delivery revenue to finance
      • Work with internal and external auditors to ensure ad serving workflows are SOX compliance
      • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in digital advertising.
      • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the main point of contact for all ad operations-related inquiries.
      • Troubleshoot ad-related issues as they arise, working with internal teams and external vendors to find solutions.
      • Manage budgets and expenses related to ad operations, working with finance and other internal teams to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.
      • Manage/train/mentor, providing guidance and support as needed to help them develop their skills and advance in their careers.

      Job Qualifications:

      • 5+ years previous experience in Ad Operations and people management
      • Strong leadership, managerial and time management skills
      • Proficient in Google Ad Manager 360, industry leading SSPs and ad trafficking in general
      • Comfortable with buying and selling ads through programmatic channels (DSP/SSP)
      • Experience with Data Management Platforms like Lotame, Bluekai, Salesforce DMP, etc.
      • Experience with tags management
      • High level of analytical ability
      • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
      • Excellent MS Office skills particularly in Excel with pivot table, v-lookup & formula expertise
      • Problem-solving chops and ability to find creative solutions to customer challenges
      • Ability to work in ambiguous situations
      • Experience in managing revenue pipeline in Salesforce
      • Not afraid to roll up their sleeves and jump into campaign troubleshooting if needed

      Note: Disclosure as required by NYCHRL, the base salary range for this role when being performed in the City of New York is $160,000 - $175,000. Compensation for this business unit specific role is based on a variety of factors including experience, scope of the role, capabilities to perform the role, as well as business & company performance.

      Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the salary compensation for this role when being hired into our office in Colorado. The salary range for this role is $160,000 to $175,000. This position is also eligible for commission and/or bonus (if applicable). For Remote, California, or Seattle Applicants:

      Salary Disclosure: Ziff Davis provides a range for the base pay. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The base pay for this position ranges from $160,000 to $175,000, plus incentive compensation (for eligible roles only), 401K with company match, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, short and long-term disability, and a flexible time off policy.
