      Role Summary:

      The Director, Analyst Relations & Influencer Marketing is a key member of the marketing leadership team and will provide analyst relations and influencer marketing leadership. The analyst relations leader must be a strategist and an orchestrator, ensuring that all relevant internal (executives, stakeholders and so on) and external (industry analysts) collaborate on and execute in alignment with the analyst relations strategy, as well as internal and external initiatives.

      As the central point of contact for Analyst Relations and Influencer Marketing, this role focuses on informing and creating a positive impact on analysts as well as leading the effort to achieve the most positive ratings and reviews in analyst studies, and being an in-house expert on analyst perspectives as a resource for cross functional teams including Corporate Marketing, Product Management, Product Marketing and executive management. Key to this role is the development of strong relationships with key analysts and influencers who are influential in customer buying decisions.

      Job Scope/Supervision:

      The Director will partner with product, strategy, and sales operations teams. The role will work with systems on the development of the Data Lake and Tableau tool kits to support the needs of the business from a marketing and customer analytics perspective.

      Collaborates with stakeholders on reporting and analytical requests using variety of tools to create and measure performance & impact of Marketing’s programs, channels & campaigns. Through data & insights, the role works with Marketing, product, and sales leaders to establish performance benchmarks, campaign targets & recommendations of where to target for greatest impact.

      The role will also interact and support the CX team in the ongoing turning of our Predictive Analytics model.; develop Predictive Analytics models for retention and upsell programs. In the future, this role will hire and lead a team of analysts.

      Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Build and oversee the end-to-end execution of the analyst relations strategy, and corresponding programs and initiatives.
      • Lead a team of Analyst Relations managers.
      • Effective communication of vision, strategy, product direction, customer success and competitive position to all internal and external stakeholders .
      • Develop and manage strong relationships and interactions with top-tier industry analysts.
      • Develop and manage strong and trusted relationships with key subject matter experts across the full portfolio of offerings.
      • Create and execute an Analyst Relations strategic plans including a steady cadence of analyst inquiries and briefings, and research reports to showcase the company's business and product strategy and innovations, as well as market leadership position.
      • Consume, distill and communicate relevant analyst firm research including delivery of actionable recommendations to key internal stakeholders.
      • Regularly assess the effectiveness of OpenText’s analyst relationships; develop strategies for on-boarding analysts new to the company and for increasing the strength of existing analyst relationships.
      • Manage budget, contracts, tools, etc. for the function.
      • Negotiate, secure, and manage contracts and related services ensuring they support both strategic and tactical, near term and future requirements. Ensure that contracted services are fully utilized.

      • Excellent communications and presentation skills with an ability to interpret analytical and technical content in an easy-to-understand manner
      • Strong Microsoft Skills including word, ppt and project
      • Ability to juggle multiple high-detail, deadline-sensitive projects, prioritize and meet deadlines.
      • Ability to work in a team environment, but also work effectively with all cross-organizational functions.
      • High energy, enthusiastic team-player.
      • Superior verbal and written communication skills. Disciplined, tenacious, and highly responsive, with a focus on timely, relevant, and appropriate communication.
      • Listen keenly to both validate existing hypotheses and uncover new insights.

      • Proven clear and effective communication with technical and business leaders at all levels within the analyst community and internally across product, product marketing, and sales organizations.
      • Excellent negotiation, facilitation, and diplomatic skills, naturally intuitive and sensitive in dealing with individual personalities. Excellent interpersonal skills, including a proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with external influencers as well as C-level executives.
      • Understand how to build and maintain relationships with key influencers, leading industry analysts, and analyst firms.
      • Significant experience working with and presenting to senior executives
      • Experience negotiating contracts with analyst firms
      • Self-starter with a high degree of confidence, aptitude, and self-motivation.
      • Strong skills at managing multiple projects concurrently with minimal supervision.
      • Education – bachelor’s degree required. MBA is an asset.
      • 10+ years in analyst relations with B2B technology experience.
      • A minimum of five years in marketing, strategy or communications roles in enterprise technology and/or service providers preferred.

      • Lead Generation: Knowledge of principles, approaches and tools used in generating leads; ability to develop, deploy and implement lead generation program.
      • Market Research: Knowledge of market research; ability to collect, collate and analyze information about existing or potential markets and market needs.
      • Marketing Strategy and Positioning: Knowledge of market research, segmentation, and channels; ability to use business models to develop and implement marketing strategies, objectives, and tactics as well as establishing a communications plan.
