AI Strategy and Implementation: Develop and execute a comprehensive AI strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives. Lead the implementation of AI projects across various departments, leveraging AI technologies to improve efficiency and drive innovation within the construction domain.
Consult to multiple teams regarding how AI can be used to solve the problems in front of them and increase efficiency across MiTek.
Develop POC to validate that an outcome can be achieved in certain technologies using AI.
Project Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of AI projects, from concept and planning to execution and evaluation. Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the expected outcomes.
Keep up with technology trends and innovations, bringing to light aspects that can impact/affect the enterprise
Global Collaboration: Work in a diverse and global environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams from different regions and time zones. Adapt to cultural differences and promote a cohesive and collaborative work environment.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and external partners, to communicate AI strategies, progress, and benefits. Present complex technical concepts in a clear and simplified manner to facilitate understanding among non-technical stakeholders.
AI Ethics and Compliance: Ensure AI initiatives adhere to ethical guidelines and comply with data privacy and security regulations. Proactively address potential ethical concerns related to AI applications.Technology Assessment: Stay updated with the latest AI technologies, trends, and best practices in the construction industry. Evaluate and recommend relevant tools, platforms, and methodologies to enhance AI capabilities.
Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
Experience working in the construction industry or related domains highly preferred.
5+ years of experience with AI strategy and implementation.
Proven experience in successfully managing and facilitating AI/ML projects from inception to completion. Project management certifications (e.g., PMP) are desirable.
Familiarity with artificial intelligence concepts, machine learning algorithms, and relevant AI frameworks. Technical expertise in AI is a plus.
Strong understanding of data strategy, data management, and data analytics. Familiarity with AI-related data requirements and challenges.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable way to non-technical audiences.
Strong leadership skills with a proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving and decision-making in the context of AI implementation.
Ability to interview and hire the right team: Experience assessing the technical knowledge and ability of a potential candidate's ability to perform and deliver on expectations.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a global setting, collaborating with diverse teams across different time zones and cultures.
Occasional travel as needed.

Summary
MiTek is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of AI to lead and oversee our artificial intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the construction industry, along with a proven track record of successfully facilitating projects from inception to completion.
