As the director of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), you'll provide leadership, direction, and organizational guidance on complex enterprise DEI initiatives, practices, and programs. Reporting to the chief human resources officer, you'll consult with and influence the executive team, senior business leaders, and the employment law group to help shape approaches to Progressive's culture, talent practices, and business operations. You'll leverage a strong understanding of current and historical societal issues and laws and keep a constant pulse on employee sentiment and external inputs to help shape the enterprise and execute Progressive's DEI strategy. Must-have qualifications - High school diploma/GED equivalent or higher and a minimum of 13 years of related work experience in DEI, HR and/or business operations, with at least 5 years of leadership experience (e.g., leading people and/or cross-functional teams) - {OR} Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of 10 years of related work experience in DEI, HR and/or business operations, with at least 5 years of leadership experience (e.g., leading people and/or cross-functional teams) Preferred skills - In-depth knowledge of the complex landscape of DEI from an employee, business, and societal points of view - Broad knowledge of HR fundamentals, laws, policies, procedures, and functions - Ability to develop strategic relationships with business leadership, including senior leaders and the executive team - Demonstrated ability to maintain a keen awareness of current issues and relevant local laws, with an understanding of the varied and broad perspectives of employee and/or external constituencies - Ability to facilitate complex discussions with sensitivity to resolve and influence others on courses of action - Critical thinking skills and ability to synthesize complex business/functional data and develop effective solutions - Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, design and lead multiple, complex enterprise-wide projects and initiatives that influence and impact Progressive's culture, workforce, talent strategies and business operations Compensation - $165,000 – $185,000/year - Gainshare bonus up to 50% of your eligible earnings based on company performance - Participation in our restricted stock units plan Benefits - 401(k) with dollar-for-dollar company match up to 6% - Medical, dental & vision, including free preventative care - Wellness & mental health programs - Health care flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, & life insurance - Paid time off, including volunteer time off - Paid & unpaid sick leave where applicable, as well as short & long-term disability - Parental & family leave; military leave & pay - Diverse, inclusive & welcoming culture with Employee Resource Groups - Career development & tuition assistance - Onsite gym & healthcare at large locations Energage recognizes Progressive as a 2024 Top Workplace for: Innovation, Purposes & Values, Work-Life Flexibility, Compensation & Benefits, and Leadership.
