The role you’ll contribute:
The Director of Employee Health is responsible for leading employee health (occupational health) services for Central Florida Division and its >36,000 workforce. The director is responsible for leading, planning, implementing policies and procedures to provide the highest level of employee health services that meet and exceed all internal and external requirements. The director leads all services and strategies and daily operations for employee health onboarding clinics fornew hire processing in addition to hospital facility employee health clinics. The Director leads all efforts and campaigns relating to vaccinations. The Director develops and leads efforts related to workforce safety, injury prevention, The Director facilitates communication between all departments, Infection prevention, workers compensation, work loss and prevention. The Director of Employee Health provides consultative resources for the Human Resources Leadership team and AdventHealth leaders in the areas of work-related employee health and safety issues related to Loss Control and Workers’ Compensation. Supervises staff of loss control coordinators and workers’ compensation specialists. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

·In alignment with corporate division, sets policy, plans, standardizes, and integrates the delivery of all related employeehealth (occupational health) services across Central Florida Division.
·Leads team and strategy for all employee health (occupational health) functions including new hire physicals within onboarding function as well as facility-based employee health clinics and associated activities.
·Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and works closely with regulatory, workers comp and loss prevention.
·Develops strategy for vaccinations, flu campaigns and other mass employee health efforts r/t employee health and safety.
·In collaboration with corporate leaders and policies, develops strategy for employee Covid management, employee instructions, testing and follow-up care of team members including leader communication and all related activities.
·Develops and monitors finance functions and budget for employee health activities including team resources and all related expenses
·Develops plan and process for reporting of all employee health related data and analytics including utilization, volume and other pertinent data. Prepares reports as requested.
·Oversees facility employe clinic processes including the following functions: Annual requirements, Blood and body fluid explosre, Immunizations, Return to work (non-covid-related) and other phlebotomy requests.
·Develops and leads efforts related to injury prevention and safety. Develops new programming and educational offerings to prevent injury, increase safety and improve health.
·Leads strategy to educate and train on EMR. Works with corporate partners to identify documentation needs and implement solutions to address needs.
·Oversees the Workers Compensation Loss Control department for the Central Florida Division South. Engages in the development, planning, and implementation of policies and procedures.
·Monitors and oversees reduction of overall operational costs in Workers Compensation dollars and pre-eminent control of Occupational Health initiatives.
·Ensure compliance with all FL Statute 440 & OSHA regulations.
·Serves as liaison between AdventHealth and outside Legal defense counsel on strategic plans for claims handling
·Serves as an active member of AdventHealth multidisciplinary committees representing Workers Compensation Loss Control
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
·Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as OSHA and quality improvement processes
·Understanding of clinical operations in occupational health/employee health setting
·Strong leadership skills and expertise in leading and inspiring teams.
·Proficient in the use of the following software programs: (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
·Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
·Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
·Excellent organizational, administrative, and management system skills
·Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of leadership, partners (both internal and external), employees and other contacts
·Ability to work independently to achieve goals, and effectively collaborate and establish effective working relationships with internal teams, cross-functional teams, and external parties, including leaders, employees and physicians
·Solid understanding of technology platforms
·Must demonstrate technical competence, professional clinical judgment.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:
·High degree of knowledge of strategic planning and health system organization related to occupational health function
·Advanced knowledge of ADA, FMLA, Workers Compensation, OSHA and principles of Human Resources
·High degree of knowledge of patient quality and safety and a track record of advancing care delivery initiatives, preferably in a complex organization.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
Current RN licensure with the Florida State Board of Nursing
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelors Degree
Three (3) Years of Working Experience
Two (2) years Leadership Experience
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
• Master's degree in Nursing
• 5 years experience in leading teams
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:
Certification in Occupational Health
