We're looking for a Director, Health Equity – Global Implementation Lead to play a pivotal role in the deployment of Health Equity Strategy across the company.       This role will be part of the Global Health Equity team at AstraZeneca Corporate Affairs, reporting to the Global Health Equity Lead. Day in day out you will engage across the organization, at all levels, to advance our health equity mission.

      Main Accountabilities

      • Coordinate the implementation of the global health equity strategy in diverse markets. You will work with the global health equity execution teams and a group of 10 markets (a mix across income-groups and geographies) to guide the implementation of co-created market health equity plans. You will ensure that health equity execution teams and priority markets have implementation plans in place, and with your oversight and intervention you will make sure implementation stays of track of our annual and multi-year program goals.
      • You will ensure fluid communication and connect the dots across the various global execution- and the country teams. You will identify and help realize synergies and opportunities between these teams. You will be in constant exchange with the different teams and the Head of Health Equity to ensure that as an organization we learn & act together, in coordination, as we implement our health equity strategy.
      • You will plan and help execute country workshops, prepare and present readouts and action plans. You will ensure plans and strategies are actionable and you will guide teams through the actual implementation.
      • Oversee development and on-going management of health equity repositories and platforms: You will lead the development, management and on-going collation of health equity knowledge repositories and platforms. These will cover key datasets, KPI tracking dashboards, best practice examples from across the business. You will ensure that the health equity team and key internal customers can access content from these sources in a timely and relevant format.
      • Lead health equity content development for key internal and external engagements: using existing content or by creating new content as needed, you will ensure that the health equity team is prepared and supported in preparation for key internal review and reporting meetings and external engagements. You will ensure that content is prepared in a consistent and timely manner and meets C-level quality standards.
      • Oversight of overarching team budgets, planning and reporting. You will work closely with the health equity team administrator to ensure that team budgets, planning and reporting cycles are on track and align with wider Global Policy, Advocacy and Health Equity, Global Corporate Affairs and wider business reporting timelines.

      R equirements

      • 5-10 years relevant experience in project & implementation management/leadership, preferably in the pharmaceutical area.
      • Strategic thinker and ability to comprehend complex matters and chart a clear path forward.
      • Problem-solving skills to tackle team and project issues.
      • Ability to adapt to changing project priorities and business/market requirements.
      • Proficiency with project management tools, methodologies and software.
      • Experience / track record of successful projects realized across diverse markets (e.g. high income, LMIC).
      • Leadership capability with strong self-awareness and ability to identify winning strategies and solutions for multiple stakeholders and AstraZeneca.
      • High level of organization, being able to manage multiple priorities and projects at the same time.
      • Emotional and social intelligence to understand the needs of multiple stakeholders.
      • Hard working, resistant to stress, ability to pull self and team up and forward, to win no matter what.
      • Self-starting, independent, entrepreneurial attitude – a smart risk-taker who thrives on new challenges and on seeing things through to completion.
      • Eagerness and ability to collaborate with and mobilize different people and organizations; work effectively in a matrix organization.
      • Ability to communicate highly effectively with Sr. Leadership, peers, as well as with a variety of stakeholders.
