- Responsible for communicating and driving the implementation of the organization’s strategy within the IT teams
- Planning, directing and coordinating the activity of the IT team that supports the organizations strategic business plan and day to day operational needs
- Managing the budget of the IT Systems teams; responsible for inventory planning and working with Finance to track Capital Budget goals
- Providing leadership in IT for the development of highly appropriate, tightly integrated, consistently available, secure, flexible, and fault-tolerant systems
- Overseeing staff development and performance of the IT team
- Overseeing system performance and architecture, infrastructure, and standard processes to ensure service levels are met
- Directing the implementation of new processes, adherence to defined processes, and driving process improvement initiatives in the IT
- Identifying and managing team priorities, connecting work to outcomes, and tracking progress against organizational metrics and goals
- Ensuring that IT business plan objectives are successfully delivered meeting quality, timeline, and budget expectations
- Balancing security needs with the organization’s strategic business plan to mitigate risks
- Embodying the organization’s culture of service by demonstrating exceptional customer service for internal and external customers
- Act as the organization’s operational IT representative when dealing with law enforcement agencies while pursuing the sources of network attacks and information theft by employees
- Partnering with Chief Technology Officer, IT Steering Committee and members to provide solutions and options that meet opportunities and address major problems
- Safeguarding assets by planning and implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures
- Advocating in the best interest of the team, our members, and for the organization as a whole.
- Communicating and sharing information to relevant parties regarding team (decisions, outcomes, accomplishments, performance, learnings, best practices, etc.);
- Be an escalation point for after-hours support, and an IT consultant to other departments internally
- Other duties as assigned

Position Overview
The Director of IT Systems is responsible for overall operational IT leadership of IT Systems, Data Management, and Internal Tools. This role provides leadership in driving the strategy with regard to technical and product architecture and choice of technical methods or technology standards. Working with related executives, the Director develops strategy, plans and people to reach the organization’s strategic technical and security goals; driving and identifying paths, projects and standards to reach those objectives. In partnership with the CTO, the Director will also be responsible for planning and managing the technology roadmap, business plan and annual budget
