- Responsible for the development, implementation, oversight and continuous improvement of the organization’s electronic healthcare record education program.
- Coordinate staff educators to identify the educational gaps and meet the educational needs of the organization; including the acute care setting, ambulatory setting, and the business side of BCH.
- Facilitates the integration of data, information and knowledge to support patients, nurses, staff, and other providers in their decision making in all roles and settings
- Providing leadership for the staff in the department, including initial hiring and terminations, performance evaluations, competency assessments, coaching/discipline, recognition and professional development, resource utilization planning, etc.
- Providing oversight for the day-to-day functions of the department including, budgeting and financial management, identification, resolution or escalation of key issues, testing and deployment of new software releases and/or functionality, ensuring efficient use of existing system functionality and monitoring projects so that they stay on schedule, within budget, and on approved timeline.
- Provide strategic leadership for all Information Technology project prioritization.
- Ensure the department has effective processes, procedures, documentation and resources to accomplish their functions.
- Provide Leadership to Epic Connect customers as the ongoing point of contact responsible for program communication, governance, best practices, and training initiatives.
- Ensuring excellent customer service, teamwork, collaboration, communication and education for IT projects, EHR Education, and Epic Connect program support.
- Bachelor of Science degree. Preferred area of study in business, healthcare, or information technology related field.
- Master’s degree in business, healthcare, or information technology related field preferred
- Healthcare experience required
- Experience with the Epic electronic health record preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
- Five (5) years in a supervisory or management level position in a healthcare setting
- Three (3) years’ experience implementing information systems/applications, including electronic health records, and working with end users to define requirements and manage expectations.
- Three (3) years’ experience in project management of a large-scale system/application implementations, preferably in a healthcare setting

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for managing the IT Project Management Office and the EHR Education Department in support of Boulder Community Health’s strategic plan and the day-to-day needs of business and health system operations. Serves as Epic Connect Customer Success Manager to oversee and coordinate BCH Epic Connect customer sites.
Specifically,
The Director of IT Service Delivery will work closely with the AVP Technology and Value Chain, the Director of Clinical Informatics and IT Clinical Applications, the CMIO, and customers to maintain a robust Epic EHR Education program and provide oversight to various projects within the hospital and the hospital-owned physician clinics.
This position supervises IT project managers/coordinators and EHR Credentialed and Principal trainers, monitors tasks and issues for timely and satisfactory completion, assists customers with identifying system needs, ensures the use of basic and advanced EHR software functionality, works to maintain and/or improve patient safety and workflow, and assists with the implementation of Epic Connect sites. . This is an exempt position with management and on-call responsibilities.
