      Position Summary

      The East Region Warehouse Operations Director will manage all strategic warehouse activities and initiatives for distributions centers in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, and Pennsylvania. Samsung is looking for a proven leader within the Logistics Industry who will assume responsibility for leading a team to drive measurable improvement in overall performance. This role oversees company activities related to logistics and warehousing/distribution including shipping, receiving, put-away, pick/pack, returns and material transfers. This role is responsible for the accuracy and efficiency of distribution center operations and establishes policies and procedures which result in the maximization of sales through timely and accurate deliveries. This position is responsible for evaluating distribution network analysis and working with 3PL and 4PL providers and reviewing their performance against defined KPI’s.

      Role and Responsibilities

      • Strong understanding of service parts for home appliance, consumer electronics IT and services required for forward and reverse logistics activities
      • Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop and create original analysis.
      • Strong interpersonal and consensus building skills.
      • Prior management experience preferred.
      • Prior strong experience with SAP or similar business enterprise purchasing, inventory control and/or procurement management system required.
      • Must have Microsoft Office Suite of PC software applications experience with Excel spreadsheet and PowerPoint preparation skills
      • Demonstrated ability to influence others in acceptance and approval and to provide clarification.
      • Make business related decisions involving multiple factors that may be ambiguous in nature. Decisions on matters that have a significant impact on business operations, financial results, and customer/vendor relationships.
      • Manage and measure logistics processes including; shipping, warehouse, carrier activity, and damaged products claims identifying exceptional or high cost deviations and making procedural decisions outside the scope of established guidelines.
      • Establish and formulate real time, focused benchmarks and MBOs/KPIs for each operational aspect of logistics performance
      • The Director is involved with the sales and marketing business teams, customer resource management, and assisting with continuous logistics improvement.
      • Responsible for weekly, monthly, and quarterly KPIs and performance reviews. Conduct a comparative review of all 3PL activity and cost analysis monthly and reports through senior management.
      • The ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple and simultaneous projects, issues and activities.
      • The ability to read, interpret and simplify complex information from various documents to create clarity and ease of understanding.
      • Ability to communicate in writing, through email, reports, presentations, or orally, product logistics matters to all audiences.
      • Interact with all levels within the organization and has frequent external contacts.

      Skills and Qualifications

      • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or relevant fields; or equivalent combination of education and experience and training.
      • MBA is preferred
      • 7+ years of experience within supply chain, required
      • Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop and create original analysis. Strong interpersonal and consensus building skills.
      • Prior management experience preferred. Prior experience with SAP or similar business enterprise purchasing, inventory control and/or procurement management system required
      • The ability to clearly define objectives, identify tasks and work assignments, give direction and make decisions based upon applied knowledge of alternatives and work experience.

      Compensation for this role for a candidate based in California is expected to be between $217 and $227K, abut may be higher or lower in other regions due to geographic differentials in the labor market. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
