- Supervise subject matter experts in ETL/EDI processes, merging data from diverse sources and designing scalable integration processes. Oversee troubleshooting and resolution of issues using various tools (Informatica, T-SQL/SSIS, Python, R, Microsoft Fabric, x12 HIPAA EDI).
- Conduct routine system monitoring, ensuring reliability, health, and availability. Validate data mapping quality between canonical models and various data formats (X12 EDI, FHIR, JSON, XML, proprietary).
- Manage data ingestion and processing from multiple sources and file types (SQL, Flat-Files, RDBMS, APIs, FTPs, cloud storage). Handle common EDI standards and formats including XML and cXML. Document data systems configurations, test plans, and functional specs.
- Execute database administration tasks to ensure SQL databases' high availability. Identify automation opportunities to boost business efficiency and support complex data-related problems.
- Represent architecture and development teams in Data Governance Council & present Data Integration approval requests at HITRUST Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, ensuring seamless data integration and flow across organizational systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to determine project requirements and develop ETL workflows using Informatica, Microsoft Data Fabric and other similar tools.
- Work with the data team to manage batch and real-time data engineering needs, integrating data pipelines and ETL processes into the CI/CD framework. Promote data integrity, security, and continuous improvement of data quality through robust data management solutions.
- 7-10 years of experience in the direct supervision and management of staff responsible for Data ETL development, specifically using the EDI x12 transactions.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, Python, R, and other ETL tools
- Public company experience with a SOX and/or HITRUST control environment is preferred.
- Proven experience as an Engineering Manager with a focus on cloud-based solutions.
- Experience with ETL, x12 HIPAA EDI transaction sets and APIs.
- A solid understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
- Proficiency in data processing flowcharting techniques.
- A strong grasp of organizational goals and objectives to drive team member performance.
- Awareness of applicable HIPAA data privacy practices and laws.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL programming, and database administration.
- Comfortable working with large raw data files (Csv, Txt , EDI) is necessary editing, manipulating, searching.
- Experience working with Health Care data, or Behavioral Health Data and processes.
- Tech-savvy, passionate, and inquisitive about Data Management tools, technologies, strategies, trends, and solutions.
- Motivated, creative, and committed to ensuring the success of Data Management initiatives.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Power BI, etc.)
- Experience working with Microsoft Fabric, PowerShell, Python, SSIS, Informatica or other ETL tools.
- Experience using GitHub for version control and deployment.
- A solid grasp of SSAS-based data modeling principles.
- Experience with Health Insurance or Health Care related data EDI X12 Formats
- Preference for experience with Netsmart’s suite of products including myEvolv

OverviewWe are seeking a Digital Services Director of Data Integration who will be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of data integration platforms, ensuring the provision of reliable datasets that empower stakeholders to make informed and timely decisions supporting customer activities. This role will manage a team of data engineers, including a team of ETL & EDI Data Engineers. The Director will also be a peer to the Digital Services Director of Data Engineering and will foster a culture of excellence within a high-performing engineering team, with the support of third-party development partners. They are responsible for ensuring that data received from external parties (such as our Customer and Vendor partners) are successfully ingested and available for processing in our transactional systems, while also ensuring that file extracts for external business partners are produced and delivered on the agreed-upon schedule.
