Identify, prioritize, manage, and deliver safety, quality, efficiency, and capacity projects in the Manufacturing Plant and Distribution Warehouse; report against P&L improvements for specific initiatives
E.g., Procure quotes and equipment from vendors to eliminate waste and improve bottom line performance
E.g., Investigate quality misses, ensure quality compliance, and assist in Root Cause, Corrective and Preventive Action
E.g., Implement new manufacturing technologies and ensure proper deployment in the Manufacturing Plant and Distribution Warehouse
Make recommendations to leadership around Manufacturing Plant and Warehouse safety, quality, efficiency, and capacity
Assess needs of the organization and identify, hire, manage, and develop (e.g., train in real-world application of key concepts) Engineering team
Develop and manage Manufacturing, Warehouse, and Engineering processes to ensure consistent and scalable execution, as well as allowing the company to grow at a very fast rate
Establish and own metrics for the Engineering organization
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Supply Chain, Marketing) to resolve systemic issues and improve Manufacturing and Distribution performance
10+ years of engineering management experience preferred
Bachelor's Degree (Engineering)
Graduate Degree (Engineering or MBA)
Solid foundation in superior safety and quality practices
Lean SS experience (preferred)
Job Description:
Overview
The Director of Engineering is responsible for enabling manufacturing and distribution operations to function as safely and efficiently as possible. They lead the Engineering team, and are responsible for engineering metrics, talent identification, hiring, development, and growing engineering capabilities within Rogue. This position is responsible for all aspects of engineering except product design (e.g., building layouts, product troubleshooting).
