      Job Description

      The opportunity

      The Director of Marketing, Global Social and SEO will be responsible for supporting channels and programs that build the MIM brand in key global markets across our businesses. The successful candidate will lead strategy development and execution for branded social media and digital properties, digital employee advocacy programs, SEO and global brand content marketing. The successful candidate will be tasked with increasing brand awareness/ consideration and shifting brand perception with target audiences across consumer and intermediary channels. Working closely with Performance Marketing, Corporate Communications, Customer Experience, and Digital and Brand leadership, the Director, Global Digital Marketing will lead a data-driven, strategically-focused team tasked with building a global brand backed by a commitment to exceptional digital experiences.


      Responsibilities

      • Collaborate with marketing leadership, corporate brand team, editorial and agency partners to develop channel and program strategy for Manulife Investment Management that will resonate with target audiences in support of business goals.
      • Lead the evolution and growth of the Manulife Investment Management global brand on owned channels as we reposition for existing and new clients, as well as Intermediaries (across Retail, Retirement and Institutional audiences)
      • Through the intersection of social and SEO, drive full-funnel results, ensuring a measurement-based approach to achieving objectives and driving quality leads through data and client insights.
      • Collaborate with internal and external creative and media teams to develop breakthrough content and messaging.
      • Report on monthly, quarterly brand and program metrics.

      Lead Employee Enablement Programs

      • Manage the MIM Social For Business programs for client-facing, registered employees across North America
      • Manage partner vendors and platforms in support of employee enablement programs, including RFP processes, billing and contract management.
      • Develop and launch employee brand ambassador program, enabling MIM employees to engage with and help us build our global brand using personal social media channels.
      • Develop and evolve policy and process guidelines and documentation in support of business continuity, efficiency and governance as it pertains to branded channels and properties.

      SEO

      • Lead a team of organic SEO specialists in the on-page optimization, technical auditing, outreach and link building of MIM global branded websites.
      • Conduct competitor and keyword research in order to optimize editorial creation and publishing.
      • Report on organic performance providing regular reports and insights to key collaborators.
      • Work closely with Performance Marketing on landing page optimizations, builds and SEM performance optimizations, driving quality leads for our business.
      • Experience in SemRush, BrightEdge AI tools, GA4, Google Optimize, URL Profiler, etc.
      • Proficiency with technical aspects of SEO, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, keyword analysis, CMS, content optimization, URL structures, page markup & schemas, search engine spiders, indexes and algorithms, website session management, tag management, etc.

      Salary & Benefits

      The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

      Primary Location

      Toronto, Ontario

      Salary range is expected to be between

      $100,500.00 CAD - $180,900.00 CAD
