- Develops and implements strategic marketing plans, sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services
- Develops and manages marketing operating budgets
- Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print and direct mail
- Develops the highest possible long-term market share
- Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share concerning present standards and industry and economic trends.
- Ensures effective control of marketing results and takes corrective action to guarantee that marketing objectives fall within designated budgets
- Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions
- Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners
- Guides preparation of marketing activity reports and presents to executive management
- Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events
- Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly
- Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control marketing programs
- Directs marketing channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing marketing territories, quotas, and goals
- Meets with key clients, assisting marketing representatives with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals
- Coordinates the liaisons between Marketing and other sales related units
- Analyzes and controls expenditures of the marketing division to conform to budgetary requirements
- Reviews and analyzes marketing performances against programs, quotes, and plans to determine effectiveness
- Provides direct supervision of Marketing Agents: interviews, hires and trains agents; plans, assigns, and directs work; provides performance reviews; motivates, rewards and provides disciplinary action when necessary (termination and conflict resolution)
- Resolves issues pertaining to tour statuses, bookings, coding, etc.
- Orders and maintains departmental supplies (collateral material, uniforms, etc.)
- Compiles data on each Marketing Agent’s performance
- Prepares additional reports deemed necessary by management
- Ensures any pertinent information related to Marketing is properly and timely disseminated
- Submits the agent’s payroll on time
- Performs other related functions as requested
- Bachelor’s degree/coursework in Business Administration or equivalent experience
- Marketing experience in Timeshare is required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism
- Ability to recruit, train, and develop Agents while leading by example
- Ability to effectively coach, counsel, motivate and mentor Marketing Agents
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability, capable of quickly finding resolutions and communicating positively and effectively when dealing with upset Owners
- Ability to efficiently multi-task
- Ability to negotiate effectively
- Working knowledge of marketing databases
- Detail-oriented and accurate
- Ability to carry out responsibilities following the company’s policies and applicable laws
- Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Regular Hours, On-Call, and Weekend
- 25% to 50%

Purpose
The Director of Marketing plans and implements both short and long-range sales, marketing, and product development programs targeting existing and new markets.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
