About the Role: The Director of Sales will be a key leader within SOLARCYCLE, responsible for driving the sales strategy and execution to achieve our ambitious growth targets. This role will oversee a sales team, including the Customer Success Manager, and will work closely with other departments to ensure alignment with our overall business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership, a deep understanding of the solar industry, and a passion for sustainability.
Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with the marketing and product management teams to align sales strategies with product offerings and market needs.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Oversee the sales forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes to ensure accurate and timely information.
- Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
- Ensure the sales team is equipped with the necessary tools, training, and resources to succeed.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Represent SOLARCYCLE at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote our brand and generate new business leads.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in sales leadership, preferably within the solar or renewable energy industry
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Deep understanding of the solar industry, including market trends, key players, and regulatory environment.
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., HubSpot) and other sales tools.
- Passion for sustainability and clean energy.
Preferred Experiences: - Experience working with Utility-scale solar project developers, project owners, EPCs, IPPs, etc.
- Familiarity with financial modeling and business analysis.
- Strong network within the solar industry.
