Direct the learning and development function, providing strategic leadership in the design, delivery, and evaluation of programs tailored to enhance employee skills and competencies across the organization.
Drive the development and implementation of innovative learning strategies and initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Develop and maintain job architecture infrastructure and enterprise skill guide to support learning initiatives and career development pathways.
Administers learning evaluations and assessments to ensure effectiveness of programs in achieving business outcomes.
Develop and roll out post-training support and reinforcement tools to sustain behavioral change and drive improved performance.
Lead annual performance review processes, overseeing the design and implementation of evaluation frameworks to assess individual and organizational performance effectively.
Spearhead leadership assessments, including 9-box evaluations, to identify talent, assess potential, and inform talent development strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
Identify and track top talent, partnering to deliver high-potential development programs, and lead succession planning efforts.
Create and integrate talent management and career pathing philosophy, programs, and routines into the business, fostering talent mobility across the enterprise.
Interact closely with business leaders to support key projects and drive successful completion of tactical and strategic initiatives.
Work with Leadership, Managers, and HR partners to build leadership capability, reinforce desired behaviors, and assess professional and leadership development needs and performance gaps.
Identify competency requirements and processes for measuring strengths and opportunities, driving leadership effectiveness at all levels.
Build strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance understanding of enterprise needs, industry challenges, and learning and development trends.
Use data to drive talent and learning insights that shape enterprise strategy and motivate local action.
Establish metrics and evaluation frameworks to assess the effectiveness and impact of learning and development programs on individual and organizational performance, and recommend solutions that fit the culture and enable the strategic direction of the organization.
Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and ethical practices in all learning and development activities.
5-7 years of proven, progressive experience in developing and implementing strategies to enhance organizational effectiveness, including performance management, organizational development, learning, leadership, talent management, and change management.
Minimum 3 years experience with demonstrated ability to lead a team of HR, OD, or training professionals effectively, with a track record of fostering a positive and inclusive work culture.
Excellent leadership skills, with the knowledge and experience in building team effectiveness.
Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and talent management practices.
Experience designing and delivering comprehensive, innovative learning programs aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
Experience leading the Talent Management function, including partnering with an HRIS team to design and deliver Talent Assessments, Talent Calibration and Succession Planning efforts.
Experience designing learning journeys for all levels of leadership, including high potential talent and executive leadership.
Experience developing and implementing performance management systems, including goal setting, performance appraisal processes, and feedback mechanisms.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate cross-functionally at all levels across the business.
Experience working with a Learning Management System to design a learning architecture.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to include expert presentation and group facilitation skills both in person and virtual to all levels throughout the organization.
Proficiency in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to organizational effectiveness, learning outcomes, and employee performance to inform strategic system decision-making.
Experience with project management, organized and able to prioritize multiple, complex projects ensuring each is delivered on time and on budget.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
Demonstrates a growth-mindset.
Certification on the delivery of recognized personality, behavioral and/or cognitive assessment tool(s) is preferred (examples include Predictive Index, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, DiSC, etc.).
Ability to travel approximately up to 10% of the time
Ability to lift and carry up to 15-20 pounds
Ability to sit, stand and walk for prolonged period of time throughout the work day
Ability to use standard office equipment such as personal computer, laptop, telephone, photocopy machine, etc.

The Director Talent Development & Learning (TD&L) will support the growth, development, and effectiveness of the organization through the design and implementation of comprehensive learning, development, and talent management initiatives. This role will lead the strategic functions of performance management, learning and development, leadership and team assessments, external coaching practice, and talent management, including talent reviews and succession planning. Additionally, the Director of TD&L will be responsible for supporting key culture and change initiatives, as well as supporting the design and build of innovative initiatives. This role will build and maintain strong collaborative relationships within HR and across the business, using innovative thinking and industry best practices to support the evolution of TheKey into a “best in talent and learning” organization.
