Job summary
Oakfields Health Group is recruiting for a Dispensing Assistant
Working 16 - 20 hours per week (Flexible hours)
Salary: £12.60 per hour
This is a permanent contract working 16-20 hours per week working Monday to Friday (flexible hours), with the opportunity to work additional hours for holiday cover.
Main duties of the job
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
Quick, efficient and accurate dispensing of medication to patients, including checking prescriptions.
A high standard of customer service, dealing with all queries in a professional, courteous and efficient way.
Effective and timely integration of patient care, including clinical system data input.
Excellent communications with pharmaceutical suppliers and local pharmacies.
You must have a Qualified Dispenser (NVQ Level 2) qualification or have relevant dispensing experience equivalent to level 2.
About us
Oakfields Health Centre, part of Oakfields Health Group, is a busy dispensing GP practice employing high calibre individuals and we currently have a need for an additional employee to work in our Dispensary. Easy access from Newcastle and Durham. Please note that although we have a Newcastle postcode the practice is based in the Derwentside locality of County Durham. The practice is situated on a main bus route and free parking is available.
