Basic Job Functions:
The role of the District Sales Manager is to lead the sales and marketing efforts for The Nucor Plate Group in the Midwest territory in support of taking care of our customers. This position will require extensive travel. The successful candidate will be responsible for quoting and securing business: spot and contract, providing forecasts, and recommending new business and customers. Supporting the Plate Group’s strategic growth initiatives as well as Nucor’s Commercial Excellence and Nucor initiatives are essential. Must be able to participate in and promote an atmosphere of cooperation and teamwork. Location to be discussed ; relocation might be required. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Manager and General Manager recommendation
• Four-year degree
• Willingness to travel extensively
• Steel sales experience preferredPreferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field
