Cargill’s Diversity Leadership Summit is a two-day program that focuses on diversity, inclusion and professional development. This year’s Diversity Leadership Summit will take place on September 7-8, 2023. During the two days, attendees may:

• Gain invaluable exposure to various Cargill opportunities and careers
• Interact with Cargill leaders across the company
• Participate in activities which may include: developmental workshops & panels
• Hear from our Business Resource Groups and learn about the value of diversity and inclusion at Cargill

All attendees will have an opportunity to interview for a 2024 summer internship with Cargill!

This internship is for candidates who are interested in attending the Cargill Diversity Leadership Summit. Please apply by 5:00p.m. CST August 6th, 2023. As a Management Associate Intern, you will gain hands-on experience and see what working at Cargill is really like. Interns will be exposed to Cargill’s Animal Nutrition business and given a chance to demonstrate how you may fit with our organization. Management Associate Interns will be exposed to a wide variety of challenging aspects of the business including: commodity merchandising and risk management, pricing, and supply chain.

After completion of a successful internship, your career path can lead to key individual contributor or supervisory positions within Cargill Animal Nutrition along with additional corporate opportunities. Cargill also offers you the flexibility to move into sales, production management, or special project assignments based on your interest and personal skill development plan. Your Work:

In addition to daily responsibilities, a significant project will be assigned at the beginning of the internship. The project will build exposure to a variety of work and cross functional teams. Our interns may have accountability or shared accountability for the following:

• Pricing
• Supply Chain Strategy & Execution
• Feed Formulation
• Commodity Merchandising, Trading, Risk Management, and Sourcing
• Business Financials
• Employee Engagement

• Throughout the internship, interns and co-ops are invited to participate in events that will give exposure to leadership, provide development opportunities, and offer the ability to network with cross-functional interns/co-ops and employees across the U.S.

Internship details:

• Internships are typically 12 weeks in duration.
• Interns are paid hourly for time worked.
• Interns are responsible for transportation to and from work.
• Interns may have the opportunity to travel during their term.
• Interns who demonstrate outstanding performance and a curiosity to learn more may be offered an internship or full-time position to return the following year.

Required Qualifications:

• Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited program in supply chain, operations, business, sales, finance, agribusiness, animal science, economics, ag-economics, leadership studies or related degree; and graduating between December 2024 – August 2026
• Candidates must be geographically flexible and willing to relocate for an internship opportunity to one of the locations listed, if applicable
• Able to complete a 12-week internship in the summer (May/June - August 2024)
• Proven ability to work optimally with individuals from a diverse set of backgrounds and cultures
• Must possess a high degree of initiative and resourcefulness in completing work with limited guidance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum GPA of 3.0
