      Main duties of the job

      As Divisional Medical Director -- Mental Health Services, you will provide strategic and clinical leadership, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and service development across the division.

      Key responsibilities include:

      • Leading medical staff, fostering clinical excellence and innovation.
      • Driving quality governance, service improvement, and workforce planning.
      • Ensuring patient safety, engagement, and experience remain a top priority.
      • Collaborating with senior leaders, external partners, and commissioners.
      • Overseeing the recruitment, retention, and development of medical staff.

      We are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist with:

      • GMC registration and Approved Clinician status.
      • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
      • Experience in clinical governance, workforce planning, and quality improvement.
