The South College Physical Therapy program in Knoxville, Tennessee is accepting applications for a core faculty position with the primary responsibility for student support. This Student Support Faculty position within the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program at South College is a vital role dedicated to the academic and personal success of our students. This position is ideal for a licensed physical therapist who is passionate about student development, academic excellence, and wellness. This individual will focus on providing targeted support to students who demonstrate deficiencies in foundational knowledge areas such as Human Physiology, Human Anatomy, and other essential subjects critical to the DPT curriculum. The faculty member will be responsible for coordinating tutoring programs, providing resources for time management and study strategies, as well as identifying and referring students with potential mental health concerns to ensure their success in the program.
The DPT program is a 2 year, hybrid program with a blend of virtual instruction and onsite lab immersions on our campus in Knoxville. This position will require daily interaction with students and faculty in the virtual components of courses as well as attending lab immersions for 1-2 weeks every academic term.
