What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process, maintain, store, and retrieve patient health information in compliance with applicable regulations
- Collect and retrieve patient medical files, ensuring healthcare workers can access relevant information
- Escalate and reassign payor denials and issues to appropriate departments
- Document patient accounts and provide timely responses to medical record inquiries
- Perform clerical tasks including data entry, scanning, filing, and sorting incoming mail
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred
- Knowledge of electronic medical filing systems
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Proficient in standard office equipment and Microsoft applications
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with electronic filing and medical records management
- Strong interpersonal skills and flexibility in a team environment
- Familiarity with software such as Complete Patient Records (CPR) program
