What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Participate in hospital revenue cycle assessments and process improvement engagements
- Prepare written reports including findings and recommendations
- Conduct periodic status checks with clients and project teams to assess progress
- Oversee and provide training and mentoring to team members
- Adapt communication style and behavior to suit specific patient populations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a coder in a hospital or Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)
- Certification in one of the following: Registered Health Information Administrator, Registered Health Information Technician, Certified Coding Specialist, Certified Coding Specialist-Physician based, Certified Professional Coder, Licensed Practical Nurse, OR Registered Nurse
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, and Visio)
- Strong analytical skills to gather, interpret data, evaluate reports, and track progress
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Health Information Management (HIM), or related field
- Experience in consulting and client-facing positions
- Advanced knowledge of coding/documentation and billing regulations
- Strong interpersonal skills
