Job summary
South Tyneside requires 5 permanent domestics. The shifts available are listed below. High standards of cleanliness are paramount at South Tyneside we need a hardworking domestic to maintain those high standards. See hours & shift patterns below: NB shift times may vary week to week. Enhancements are paid for weekend working
Friday to Thursday 4.30 7.30pm x 2 posts 10.5hours
Friday Thursday 7am 2.30pm x 3 posts 24.5 hours
This Domestic post is designed to provide cover 7 days a week to domestic services. We need a flexible domestic assistant to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the site. This post require a flexible approach to work and work routine as your shift rota may vary from week to week and in some cases will vary. Domestic experience is preferred but not essential (full training is provided)
Main duties of the job
To provide excellent standards of cleanliness whilst working to cleaning schedules relevant to allocated areas within the organisation
To be flexible on a day to day basis moving area to area and across departments (within Domestic Services) based on service needs or staffing requirements.
Carry out high level dusting/cleaning, enhanced cleans, terminal cleans, rubbish, refilling domestic supplies, floor scrubbing with the correct machinery within domestic services, i.e. floor cleaning equipment, wall washing and deep cleaning as required. Flexible support is expected during times of service escalation.
Liaise with ward/dept. staff as necessary (as well as Domestic Manager).
