The salary range for this position starts at $19.04 /hour- with Shift Differential eligibility
Ensure timely receipt of all expected additional test results by using queries, logs, and reports to identify delays and discrepancies.
Obtain and distribute additional test results to internal staff within required timelines.
Manually enter the additional test results into electronic databases.
Generate donor notification materials from all applicable databases and assemble donor notification packets for review.
Prepare and complete state and military notifications according to applicable state laws or Department of Defense requirements.
Provide approved donor notification packets to donors and outside agencies as required according to approved mailing, faxing, or other electronic methods in congruence with all timelines.
Perform required notifications for autologous donations to transfusion services and physicians. Obtain the required authorizations to release nonconforming autologous donations.
Ensure availability of autologous products for donor surgery etc.
Maintains logs and tickler files to ensure timely completion of all test results and notification activities.
Monitor security to ensure only authorized personnel has access to confidential donor records.
Has regular contact with hospitals, laboratories, and other internal and external customers.
Maintains quality and regulatory standards that impact donor and client relationships.
Education: High School or equivalent required. Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in a science or health care field is preferred.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of related hospital, laboratory or blood banking operations experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
Management Experience: N/A
Skills & Abilities: Ability to work on a team. The ability to read, write and verbally communicate at the high school to college level is required. Intermediate to advanced level computer skills with Microsoft Office applications in a Windows environment is required. Ability to work in a fast paced call center environment.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview):
Following established procedures, notifies, educates, and counsels blood donors, their partners or family, employees, and public audiences regarding blood transmissible infectious agents. Review and approve donor notification packets. May educate donors involved in recipient complication cases Interpret test results, the significance of health history information, and risk factors to provide accurate and sensitive donor counseling. May manually enter additional test results into approved databases
We are seeking a Donor Notification Coordinator II for our Charlotte, NC Office.
The work schedule: Mon-Fri 1:00p-9:30p -Rotation schedule includes onsite and work from home requirements once the in person training is complete

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):
May require a valid driver's license and clean DMV record. May be required to have basic computer skills. Exemplary interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills. Ability to work on a team.
