- Manage merchandising across our e-commerce channels in the UK, Europe, and the USA.
- Collaborate with the Brand and Content team to create engaging photo content for the blog and social media channels.
- Shoot and edit product photography to ensure high-quality visuals for all platforms.
- Update and optimise product pages as required, ensuring accurate and compelling product descriptions and images.
- Collaborate with the Head of E-commerce to merchandise campaigns on the website, ensuring effective placement of featured products and promotions.
- Identify new opportunities for merchandising and improve the customer experience.
- Support regional personnel through the process of updating their sites.
- Work with the Digital Product team to develop visual merchandising components of the site.
- Work with our graphic designer to provide product photography in order to create digital assets.
- Support the e-commerce team with other tasks (email marketing, digital asset creation).
- Manage your time between shop and office to ensure you are able to complete all aspects of your role.
- Experience in merchandising and e-commerce, ideally within the music/retail industry.
- Some experience in producing engaging copy.
- Knowledge of online merchandising best practices and understanding of web analytics.
- Strong commercial awareness, knowledge of e-commerce and online retail merchandising trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
- Professional experience in product or commercial photography.
- Proficient using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, include the creation of digital assets, and working with PSD templates.
- Experience shooting in different environments and lighting setups.
- Basic understanding of e-commerce product photography requirements.
- Ability to collaborate with creative teams to understand project objectives.
- Strong attention to detail
- Drive e-commerce revenue growth across all regions.
- Increase conversion rate (CVR) by optimising product presentation and improving the user experience.
- Drive growth in session and user volume through effective merchandising strategies and working alongside Brand & Content, Email and Acquisition managers.
- Increase average order value by promoting cross-sell and upsell opportunities.

As E-Commerce Merchandiser, you will be responsible for overseeing the merchandising strategy for Rough Trade's e-commerce channels in the UK, Europe, and the USA. Your key focus will be to optimise product presentation, create visually compelling product pages, and support marketing campaigns with engaging content. You will play a critical role in driving e-commerce revenue and enhancing the overall customer experience.
