      This role is part of the Blue Origin Engines business unit, where our focus is the design, development, manufacturing and testing of engines and propulsion systems. Built for multiple uses, our family of engines is powering the next generation of rockets for commercial, civil, national security and human spaceflight.

      As part of a hardworking team of diverse engineers, you will be engaged in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications. Our focus on scalability, reliability, and performance ensures that our software meets the highest quality standards. As a Software Engineer, you will use your growing expertise to contribute to various aspects of software development.

      Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

      • Develop, and maintain robust and scalable software using modern languages.

      • Use AWS services for deploying and maintaining applications.

      • Collaborate with team leads and managers to complete tasks and projects.

      • Participate in code reviews, team meetings, and sprint planning.

      • Review, update, and maintain documentation such as design diagrams, architectural diagrams, and test procedures.

      • Provide insights and contribute to process improvements.

      • Work onsite at a company office.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

      • Knowledge of React frontend framework.

      • Experience in software development, including internships and practical experience in various projects.

      • Skilled in Python and TypeScript.

      • Knowledge of cloud computing with AWS.

      • Experience building REST and/or GraphQL APIs.

      • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

      • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

      • Strong communication abilities.

      • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.

      • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Understanding of standard cloud architecture patterns, including microservice architectures.

      • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

      • Knowledge of Git, CI/CD, and other DevOps practices.


      Compensation Range for:

      CA applicants is $93,870.00-$131,418.00;CO applicants is $86,047.50-$120,466.50;WA applicants is $93,870.00-$131,418.00
