Job Summary:
The Early Learning Project Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of efforts and facilitation of a collaborative of cross-sector community partners working towards achieving outcomes related to childcare,
early learning, kindergarten readiness and early grade reading. The Early Learning Project Coordinator will play a pivotal role in the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational curricula across
various programs. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure curricular materials are rigorous, inclusive, and aligned to educational standards and organizational vision. The Project
Coordinator’s expertise in project management will drive the successful execution of curriculum projects from inception to completion, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Coordinates and manages curriculum development projects, ensuring timely completion and
adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Develops detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Monitors project progress and identifies potential risks as necessary.
• Collaborates and facilitates meetings with educators and subject matter experts to design and develop curriculum materials that are research and evidence based, engaging, inclusive and meet diverse learning needs
• Ensures curricula are aligned with educational standards, frameworks, and high-impact teaching strategies.
• Integrates anti-bias principles, playfulness, and modularity into curriculum design.
• Meets with team members regularly to identify and resolve challenges, manage projects, track goals, and review work processes and procedures.
• Conducts thorough reviews and evaluations of curriculum materials to ensure accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness.
• Conducts thorough reviews of curricula for alignment, gap analysis, integration of family engagement, ancillary support including but not limited to professional learning integration, anti-bias, values alignment, coverage of learning standards.• Implements feedback from field testing and stakeholder reviews to refine and improve curriculum content.
• Conducts analysis and synthesizes data and curriculum for implementation fidelity and reliability, representation of high impact instructional strategies, and outcome metrics.
• Maintains comprehensive documentation of project activities including but not limited to meeting minutes, progress reports, final project summaries.• Prepares and presents reports on project outcomes, successes, and areas for improvement.
• Maintains and troubleshoots existing curriculum documents, including long-term plans.
• Represents the team and/or department at meetings, events, and training as needed.
• Participates in assigned meetings, events and training as required.
Job Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, education, project management or related field required.
2. Experience in curriculum development required; experience in project management preferred.
3. Demonstrated experience fostering and maintaining a collaborative team dynamic with a wide range of people and styles working together to set and achieve project goals.
4. Experience working with both Early Head Start and Head Start students or other infants, toddlers, and preschoolers is preferred.
5. Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.
6. Travel required locally or long-distance up to 30% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.Salary range: $54,820 - $68,525
