      Location: Amsterdam

From Arthur Guinness to Johnnie Walker, our business was founded on people of outstanding character, and in 250 years, that has not changed. We’re the world’s leading premium alcohol company. Our brands are industry icons including Johnnie Walker, Baileys, Smirnoff, Ketel One vodkas, Captain Morgan, Don Julio, Tanqueray and Guinness. Our success is thanks to the strength of our people, in every role. That's why we trust them with our legacy and why we reward them with the career-defining opportunities that they deserve.

      About the Role

This is a new position in the E-Commerce team - a captivating role of meaningful importance to deliver the future growth of Northern Europe’s direct-to-consumer (D2C) business. It is a key role where commercial, analytical, and sales approach are vital enablers to unlock scale as we deliver our E-Commerce ambition: to shape and lead the evolution of D2C in our industry.

Over the last 5 years, our region's online business has grown rapidly. We expect sales to continue to accelerate - growing 3-5 times by 2027 - as more consumers shift online, technology advances, and new e-platforms and e-retail channels emerge.

The future of D2C is largely unknown and in this role you will need to navigate the right path for Diageo. This means testing and learning trading mechanisms, while partnering and collaboratively working with people across functions to achieve common goals.

The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial spirit with experience building and handling an E-Commerce business of scale. If you are looking to be part of an agile team and it drives you to have a material impact on the rapid expansion of the E-Commerce business, this role is for you!

      Top Accountabilities:

      • Lead Diageo Northern Europe's trading agenda and take care of website revenue along with key on-site metrics (conversion rate, bounce rate and average order value).

      • Day-to-day management of D2C website activities, identifying conversion and trade opportunities.

      • Own the website transactional pages taxonomy using best in class merchandising principles for product set-up, naming conventions, and filters to give a market leading on-site consumer experience and help drive organic traffic.

      • Develop and lead the D2C trading plan in close collaboration with commercial, activation, and marketing teams.

      • Collaborate with Content leads to build and optimize products, category, and attribute files. Champion a luxury consumer journey and identify ways to improve/enhance the shopping experience.

      • Foster a strong E-Commerce trading culture, providing sales insight and understanding of on-site consumer journey to share priorities and future opportunities.

      • Identify E-Commerce initiatives, features, and functionalities to improve trade experiences that accelerate growth, partnering with other departments including Digital Technology, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain and Customer Service.

      • Forecast and manage stock, working closely with commercial and supply chain teams.

      Key Skills:

      • 3+ years of relevant experience with a commercial background and strong numerical and analytical skills.

      • Experience in Digital Trading with a strategic, innovative, and agile approach.

      • Curious and passionate about Digital and E-Commerce with high learning agility.

      • Strong communication skills to build relationships and network across functions.

      • Proficient in English and ideally German or Dutch.

      Our Offer

      • An inclusive company culture that puts employees and their development first

      • A competitive salary with bonus and many benefits that suit your lifestyle

      • An industry leading parental leave policy

      • …and of course, THE best colleagues!

Celebrating our inclusive and diverse culture is core to Diageo’s purpose of “celebrating life every day everywhere”. This purpose is, in itself, inclusive in nature, as it values everybody irrespective of background, disability, religion, gender identity, sexuality or ethnicity.

Flexibility is key to success in our business and many of our staff work flexibly in many different ways, including part-time, compressed hours, flexible location.

We will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process and to perform essential job functions.
