      About the Office of Planning and Budget (OPB), Forecasting and Analysis Division

      The Forecasting and Analysis Division of the Office of Planning and Budget (OPB) provides estimates and analysis of workloads and fee collections based on actual and anticipated economic, legislative, and business climates, incoming and in-process workloads, and fee rates. The Division leads the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) with fee review and fee setting actions.

      Qualifications


      You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position.       Specialized Experienceis experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service.

      For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-13. Specialized experience for this position includes:
      1. Experience in estimating and analyzing workloads, fees, fee collections, and related financial, economic, and operating parameters.
      2. Experience in applying quantitative theories, techniques, and methods; AND
      3. Experience in leading a team in economic studies or projects related to fee rates, price structures and/or revenue related policies to assess the impact of changes on financial resources and company or agency mission.

      Candidates must also meet the education requirement as described in the "Education" section of this vacancy.
