What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide support to the Managing Editor, Senior Managing Editor, and/or Client Manager through manuscript processing tasks and special projects
- Understand and execute the peer review process from submission to acceptance
- Communicate proactively and escalate issues appropriately with colleagues and managers
- Uphold high standards of professionalism and courtesy when interacting with colleagues and clients
- Assist with projects as directed by other members of the Editorial Division
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree or other relevant education
- Experience in customer service, time management, and task prioritization
- Ability to work semi-independently with a high attention to detail
- Experience working in collaborative team settings
- Strong ability to meet deadlines
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with manuscript processing and submission systems
- Previous experience in an editorial or publishing environment
- Knowledge of the academic publishing industry
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
