Arts and Sciences | Office of the DeansThe Education Program Specialist will oversee the process of gathering, preparing, and reviewing of information for the Ohio Transfer 36 submissions to the Ohio Department of Higher Education. This is required due to changes in the general education program and courses at The Ohio State University. Work with Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) to become apprised of submission requirements and procedures and pre-screening of proposals. Consult and communicate with university and college partners. Oversee the process of gathering information and data for special projects. Craft communications to academic units and across the university. Collaborate with the Office of Academic Affairs and Office of Undergraduate Education to determine which GE courses to submit. Coordinate and collaborate with appropriate OSU departments to obtain necessary documents and information for submission to ODHE. Coordinate curricular review, research, collect, analyze, and prepare data for submission. Review feedback, report, and present data from ODHE faculty panels. Develop, maintain, assess, and administer feedback to departments, and train staff partners within departments to submit necessary revisions. Upload submissions to Course Equivalency Management Systems (CEMS). Handle follow-ups and ensure deadlines are met. Coordinate end -to- end management of special projects as assigned.
Required: Bachelor’s degree in an Arts and Sciences field, Public Affairs or Education or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two years of relevant experience in higher education curriculum development, review, and/or assessment and knowledge of program planning and coordination and/or advising in an academic environment is required.
Desired: Knowledge of university academic rules and regulations is desired. Experience working in an academic environment; understanding of university policies and procedures is desired.

The pay range for this job profile is $22.16 - $29.54. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, the unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
