      Job Summary

      The EEG Technologist, under the direction of Manger will participate as an integral member of the Neurodiagnostic Services by performing EEGs, Video/EEG monitoring and patient observation, or evoked potentials (EPs) and other specialized procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings, intensive care units and other specialized locations. The EEG Technologist will ensure electrode and equipment integrity. The EEG Technologist actively participates in departmental and organizational programs, including performance improvement activities, in-services and staff development activities.

      The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

      Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

      The salary range for this position is $48.19 - $60.10 (Hourly Rate).

      Required Qualifications

      • This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.

      • Possession of a high school diploma.

      • Prior experience working with an interdisciplinary health provider team.

      • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.

      • Proficient in computer skills including Word, Excel, and on line communication.

      • Possession of good interpersonal, time management, problem solving and self-initiation skills.

      • Graduate from an accredited training program in Electroneurodiagnostics or a combination of training and experience.

      • Ability to work variable shifts and days.

      • Demonstrates ability to be an independent, motivated self-starter

      • EEG Graduate from an accredited EEG Program

      Preferred Qualifications

      1. One year of experience as an EEG Technologist.

      1. Prior experience working in an academic medical center environment.

      1. Knowledge of basic medical terminology.

      1. Experience with computerized medical equipment.

      License/Certification

      Possession of current CPR certification
