Job Description

- Ensure that the Tewkesbury Campus complies with all necessary and relevant Environmental and Health and Safety Legislation
- Manage, direct and coordinate Tewkesbury EHS staff to ensure necessary compliance with applicable legislation
- To ensure that any EHS programmes (either local or corporate) are delivered in a timely and accurate manner
- To ensure that all employees, contractors and visitors to the site have the necessary information, training, skills, supervision and equipment to carry out their duties in a safe and correct manner
- Obtain any necessary Environmental or Health and Safety consents, permits, licenses or permissions to operate the Tewkesbury Campus in compliance with Environmental or Health and Safety legislative requirements.
- To liaise with any Regulatory Body to ensure compliance with Environmental or Health and Safety legislation / regulation.
- Chair the Employee EHS Council
- Coordinate and manage associated EHS roles as required across the campus
- Support local managers to achieve required standards of EHS in their departments
- Minimum of NEBOSH National Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent)
- Minimum of IEMA Foundation Certificate (or equivalent)
- At least 5 years of progressive experience (usually post-education) in a manufacturing /engineering environment.
- At least 2 years of management experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment
- Gained or be working towards the NEBOSH Level 4 Diploma in Occupational and Safety Practice
- Gained or be working towards IEMA Diploma in Sustainable Business Practice.
- Diploma/Degree Level Management qualification (or equivalent)

Moog Aircraft Group are recruiting for an EHS Manager to join the team in Tewkesbury in Moog’s new state of the art facility. This position works under the general direction of the Site Support Services Manager and be a key member of the Site EHS Steering groups. Responsible for the day-to-day compliance of the Moog Tewkesbury campus against all relevant UK environmental and health & safety regulations and Corporate EHS business expectations. The incumbent must manage the delivery of compliance systems to support all relevant legal compliances and ensure the reliable and cost effective provision of any EHS sub contracted services. The incumbent will strive to bring industry best practices to site and support/manage implementation. The incumbent will work closely with senior management, corporate/group EHS teams and other Moog UK site EHS teams.
