- Develop a thorough and comprehensive understanding of electrical safety
- Work alongside Nucor electricians performing preventive and corrective maintenance
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the various control systems throughout the Rolling mill & Melt shop
- Data collection for Arc Flash studies and CMMS implementation
- Participation in a course of study in Electrical Technology, with an emphasis on 3 phase power and/or circuit analysis and control systems.
- GPA of 3.0 or better in Electrical Courses
- Written recommendation from advisor
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Second year student
- Completion of a safety course(s)
- Practical work experience
