Job Description
- Req#: 1120
- Continuous improvement in year-round electoral registration activities.
- Effective implementation of voter ID and other Elections Act 2022 requirements.
- Maintaining readiness for elections at short notice.
- Completion of our integrated electoral data project.
- Building on outreach and engagement successes to encourage greater democratic participation.
- The ability to deliver high quality work within strict deadlines.
- An ability to work well as part of a dynamic and professional team.
- Knowledge/understanding of best practice and quality assurance in service delivery and customer care.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet changing requirements at peak times.
- Participation in our 5 Staff Networks: Black, Asian, and Multi-Ethnic, LGBTQ+, Disability, Young Professionals, and Women's.

SO2: Starting salary £40,005 per annum rising in annual increments to £41,286 per annum incl LW

About the Team:
Lambeth is a large, diverse, and socially engaged inner London authority with over 230,000 registered electors. It includes vibrant districts such as Brixton, Clapham, Streatham, and the South Bank.
We maintain the Register of Electors and organise elections and referendums. We deliver electoral registration for the Electoral Registration Officer and elections and referendums for the Returning Officer.

You must be well organised, have excellent communication skills and be prepared to work in a busy environment especially during the election period.
Have a customer orientated approach along with excellent communication skills to engage with people at all levels of the Council. In addition, all candidates should have excellent IT skills, good attention to detail.
You must be able to demonstrate:
Due to the nature of the role, during election periods and the annual canvass, you will need a flexible working attitude and the ability to work outside of normal core office hours including weekends.
