Job Description
Role: Electrical Engineer
Location: Harrogate
We have an immediate requirement for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our busy Team. This new team member will provide electrical engineering analysis and oversight in support of system deliveries, decommissions and modifications. They will be responsible for regular analysis of electrical systems to include load balancing and power quality to help ensure the integrity of the entire electrical system.

Basic Job Requirements
Responsibilities include:
• Overseeing the correct design of installations and grounding for sensitive electrical equipment, ensuring the current electrical codes and practices are adhered to.
• Providing solutions to power issues affecting electrical distributions.
• Identifying and minimizing electrical noise through current and voltage harmonic analysis.
• Producing reports of short-circuit and load-flow studies.
• Supporting the documenting and analysis of working practices and procedures within operations.
• Reviewing and supporting all maintenance activities from non-invasive through to complete shutdown events, including ensuring that all settings are returned to their original value prior to restoring electrical systems to service.
• Carrying-out engineering feasibility studies, support design development and review construction drawings for on-site projects.
• Evaluating recapitalization plans and provide engineering support at design review meetings and during construction inspections of various projects.Other Job Requirements
Basic Job Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Professional registration with a technical society.
• Incorporated or Chartered status via the Engineering Council preferred
• Project Management
• Experience in supporting industrial site facilities electrical equipment.
• Knowledge of UPS, Generator and Switchboard Maintenance/Repair.
• Experienced in working with Low and medium voltage distributions.
• Knowledge of equipment, building and lightning grounding.
• Ability to read and to comprehend complex engineering diagrams, schematics and advanced electrical test equipment.
• Experience of computer-assisted engineering and design software.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers.Requisition Number
